It is with great pleasure that we received the news that on 16 June 2010 Step 2, a subdivision of Pactor Engineering GmbH, has been officially recognised as a non-profit corporation by the Inland Revenue (Finanzamt) in Ingolstadt. Step 2 supports school leavers in their personal and professional orientation and development. The corporation depends largely on donations to fund this venture as the young people shall only make a minor contribution to the funding of the training programme so they can focus on the learning.

§ 3 Tax benefits and allocation of funds
1. The corporationexclusively and directly servespublic-benefitpurposes in accordance with the chapter „Tax-privilegedpurposes“of the Fiscal Code of Germany. The corporation provides its services for free. The corporation does not engage in the placement of staff or jobs. The statutes of the company shall be published on the company website.
2. The corporation does not work for its own benefit and does not pursue own economicpurposes. The corporation shall in principle use its funds promptly for the tax-privileged purposes set out in its statutes. Members or partners may receive neither profit shares nor in their capacity as members any other allocations from the funds of the corporation. The legal obligation to set aside reservesapplies.
§ 4 Beneficiaries
Beneficiaries are school leavers who want to further their personal and professional education prior to starting university or a vocational training. In particular the corporation focuses on school leavers who are wavering in their choice of a career and want to find out more about their own abilities in the most effective manner.No person may benefit from expenses not in pursuit of the statutory purposes of the corporation or from disproportionately high remuneration.
